By the end of this course, you will be able to

  • Understand the fundamentals of operations and supply chain management, different production environments, and the key performance indicators used to measure operational efficiency.

  • Apply demand management and forecasting methods, including moving averages, exponential smoothing, and seasonality, and measure forecast accuracy using MAD and APE.

  • Build S&OP and MPS plans and understand the relationship between business planning, demand, supply, and production to support planning decisions.

  • Apply Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and use bills of materials, inventory data, and lead times to determine manufacturing and purchasing requirements.

  • Manage inventory using EOQ, reorder points, safety stock, and ABC and XYZ analyses to support service levels and inventory efficiency.

  • Assess supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies while understanding the role of AI, digital twins, and automation in the future of planning.
